Saturday 20th March
Some fine performances see Johnsonville teams finish strongly with some spectacular results from Saturday.
The Devon & Patterson Premiers toppled leaders Collegians with Joseph Bowden leading the charge hitting 42 with the bat.
This will see Johnsonville at the top of the points table at this - the half way stage of the 2010 Premier Competition.
But the performance of the day must go to Jake Devine (U9 Motor Doctors) who smashed 70 runs and took a wicket in their win over Easts Firebirds. Jack Evans provided good support with 31.
Bowling performance with a stunning 5-4 was Josh Campbell (who doubled with 19 off the bat) for U10 RealX against Tawa Junior Black Caps. Unfortunately Johnsonville lost the game so Joshs' effort in context was really superb.

Club Turns 125 in 2011:
Johnsonville Cricket Club was originally established in 1886 and celebrates its 125th Jubilee in 2011.
Sam Worthington (Dominion Post Sports reporter) and Alan Isaac (NZ Cricket Chairman) are compiling a book of the clubs history.
A small committee is organising a weekend of fun and festivity to coincide with an international at the Basin Reserve early that year.
We need to make contact with as many past players/supporters as possible so they can involve themselves in what is planned and maybe contribute some history about the club so we can all relive the successes of yesteryear.
Barry Rhodes Proves Big Hit!:
Our 2009-10 Club Professional 22yr old South African Barry Rhodes was quick to prove his worth with consecutive centuries against Collegians and Wellington College soon after having just arrived in Wellington.
Such is his popularity among the juniors he is now booked out with private coaching sessions up till Christmas.
To avoid disappointment and risk missing out anyone can contact Barry (details below) to book for sessions in the year.
Barry's other commitments to the club include coaching teams at Newlands College as well as assisting Junior Coaches with a coaches evening with Barry being planned.
Barry will also be a great asset to the Senior Clubs Hazlett Trophy Team who have performed strongly having been finalists for past 2 seasons.
Hastings Camp Tournament (January 2011):
2011 Camps
The dates are still to be formally confirmed, however every indication is that they will be as follows:
U10 - Thursday 6th to Saturday 8th January
U13 - Sunday 9th to Wednesday 12th January
U11 - Wednesday 12th to Saturday 15th January
U12 - Sunday 16th to Wednesday 19th January
U14 - Girls Wednesday 19th to Friday 21st January
Please note that the Colgate Games will be held in the Hawkes Bay over the 7-9 January 2011, so accommodation is expected to be tight for the U10 and start of the U13 tournaments (with bookings already being taken for 6-10 January 2011).
In particular players/parents from the current U9 Kiwi Trophies, Jville Motor Doctors, Perry Barber Builder and Wrightway Homes teams should consider making 'provisional' bookings if you think you may participate in the U10 cricket camp.
The Hastings Camps are something the club has been involved with for many years and are really and invaluable experience not only for the cricket aspect and opportunity, but also for the team building comradery that comes with staying together at the Riverbend Camp.
The club acknowledges and appreciates the support from the Hutt Mana Charitable Trust in assisting with costs of our participation at Hastings.
