About Us.....
Established in 1886 the Johnsonville Cricket Club has a long history of providing the opportunity for locals to participate and develop their cricket in Wellington competition.

Currently the Senior club fields 9 adult teams (7 Men, 2 Ladies) with the top side competing in the Hazlett Trophy.
For  2007-08 the Junior club has 21 teams (2 girls teams) ranging in children aged from 4yrs to 14yrs. In addition there is 30+ beginners in the Hells Pizza Little Devil's Nursery Grade.
Indeed, history records the clubs success but the emphasis is nurturing the young cricketer and providing the opportunity to play no matter your age or ability.
The last NZ and Wellington Representative from the club wasJonathon Millmow (current Dominion Post cricket writer) and he began his cricket as a Johnsonville Junior and is currently a Junior team coach.
Luke Woodcock also progressed from the Junior club and is a current Wellington Firebird.
The Junior Club currently has over 230 players.

On the boundary fence at Birchgrove Oval, Sydney, The Development Tour Squad just prior to the opening fixture vs Trinity Grammar. Trinity won the toss and put us in on a difficult track. We scratched up 71 all out. Trinity won the game by four wickets but the picturesque ground with the city and harbour bridge as a backdrop was a real highlight.
